Candidates for this plan will get to train at the Indian Military Academy for 5 years. They will get 1 year of basic training, 3 years of technical training, and 1 year of training after they get their commission. The candidates will get an engineering degree and a permanent position in the Indian Army when the training is over. People who want to be Technical Officers will be chosen, and they will be taught according to the needs of the Indian Army.
Required Capabilities for Technical Entry Scheme
- Education Qualification: Candidates must have passed 12th or it’s equivalent from a recognized board with at least 60% marks and appeared in JEE Mains.
- Age Limit: Candidates should be 16.5 years and not more than 19.5 years. The upper age limit of the candidates will be as per the government rules.
- Marital Status: Only unmarried male candidates can apply for this scheme.
