TNEA Counseling 2024: Important Dates, Who Can Apply, and How Much It Costs to Sign Up

The counseling process for BE/BTech and BArch for the school year 2024–25 has begun at the Directorate of Technical Education in Chennai. If you pass the Intermediate test, you can take part in the counseling for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission 2024. Stay tuned for more information.

Counseling at TNEA in 2024

To apply for a Bachelor’s degree in architecture or engineering, candidates should know that the TNEA application form for 2024–25 has been officially released. Those who meet the requirements can do so by visiting the website https://tneaonline.org/ between May 6 and June 12, 2024.

If you meet certain requirements, you can apply for TNEA 2024 by going to the official website. Up until June 6, and again on June 12, you will be able to register, fill out an application, and send your original certificate. Once the application is live on the official website, a straight link to it will be added to the table above.

TNEA Criteria for Eligibility 2024

Criteria for eligibility A person must meet certain school and age requirements to be accepted into a Bachelor of Engineering or Architecture program.

  • To be eligible, you must have passed the HSC (Academic: both +1 and +2) with an average grade of at least 45% in Math, Physics, and Chemistry.
  • Age Limit: In Tamil Nadu, you have to be at least 25 years old to get into engineering school. It does not say what the minimum age is.

Candidates are strongly encouraged to download the notice brochure to make sure they meet the requirements to be admitted to the BE/BTech or BArch program.

Fee to Register for TNEA 2024

As part of the Tamil Nadu engineering admissions process for the 2024–25 school year, applicants must pay a registration fee based on their category through a payment gateway that is given.

Candidates from the OC/BC/BCM/MBC&DNC category must pay an application fee of ₹500. Those from the SC/SCA/ST category must pay a fee of ₹250.

Documents Needed for TNEA 2024

To get into BE/BTech or BArch, a candidate must fill out an application form and send it through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission website. They must also have the following items with them:

  • 10th grade, or SSLC Notes
  • Mark sheet for HSC first year (+1)
  • HSC Marksheet for Second Year (+2) or Equivalent
  • Certificate of Transfer
  • Information about the government school where the student learned from 6th to 12th grade for 7.5% of the available seats.
  • ST, SC, SCA, MBC&DNC, BC, and BCM can get a permanent community certificate in the form of a card or an electronically signed e-certificate.
  • Certificate of Birth (only in electronic form/e-Certificate digitally signed) (if needed)
  • Certificate of income (if needed)
  • Sri Lankan Tamil Refugee Certificate (if needed)
